Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are stepping down from the creative department at DKNY. These designers were working for the brand since 2014 and designing for their own label, Public School, at the same time. The biggest reason why this duo is leaving the brand is because of the G-III’s $650 million acquisition of DKI (Donna Karan International) from LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
Chow and Osborne, said, “Given the company sale and subsequent change in strategies, we have decided to step down and focus on our own business Public School. It’s been an unbelievable experience to work side by side with the wonderful people at DKNY, especially our amazing design team and atelier. We wish the company success in the future.”
Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are well-known for their cool and modern street style designs which DKNY wanted to explore, but they will keep working hard on their brand and we will have to wait for news about the next designers for DKNY brand.
I'll keep you posted!
Thanks.
