You have been asking for more outfit photos from the time I went to Berlin earlier this year. Today I bring you one of the looks I wore to go to another day of Neonyt (Sustainability Hub/Expo) at the impressive Berlin’s decommissioned Tempelhof Airport. I hope you like it and tell me what you think about this "OUTFIT OF THE DAY."
By the way, I wore the turtleneck I made for my brand, which sold out pretty fast http://linamayorga.com/shop/black-tie-dye-print-turtleneck and I'm still obsessed about how it looks. This piece is special for me because when I design and make clothes, I don't make thousands of pieces, especially when I found a limited supply of a particular fabric. Basically, I produce as many pieces as the pattern of the design and the quantity of fabric allow me to create. For this reason, I cherish each one of my designs deeply.
But talking about my outfit, let me tell you more about what I did that day and why I am happy with this look. I completely forgot to pack my blue ankle boots to match the blue of my denim pinafore dress, but I am not mad about the fact that I had to wear my black boots. I think they look good with all the other black pieces I was wearing that day. And I am sure this happens to everyone! You are ready to travel, and you prepared all your looks beforehand, so you know exactly what to wear each day. Still, there are so many things that you have to control for a trip that most likely you would forget a piece of clothing that, in your eyes, complemented your unique look perfectly. This happened to me, but it is okay, and I had a blast in Berlin(especially when I was exploring on my own). On that day, I explored the different booths that were located at NEONYT. There were so many sustainable and beautiful brands that it blew my mind. I was really inspired by all of them, and it made me happy to think that if I want and work hard, I could be able to showcase my sustainable clothing here. When I am part of events like Neonyt, I get excited and convinced that my goal in life is to promote sustainability and veganism in the fashion industry, and just thinking about this makes my pupils dilate.
Anyways, as some of you may know, tye-dye prints are popular now, and more designers and brands are starting to catch up. Since I was going to speak about denim in the fashion industry during this trip to Berlin, I wanted to wear more pieces made of this beautiful material. No wonder why I wore my tie-dye printed turtle neck and my denim pinafore dress together. I like this look, I think it is wearable and cute. Sometimes I wear crazy outfits, but I think this one is a clear representation of my everyday looks. Well, that's everything for today. Ustedes me han pedido más fotos de atuendos que lucí cuando fui a Berlín a principios de este año. Asi que hoy les traigo una de los looks que llevé para ir a otro día de Neonyt (Sustainability Hub / Expo) en el impresionante aeropuerto de Tempelhof que ahora esta fuera de servicio y es usedo para eventos en Berlín. Espero que les guste y me digan lo que piensan acerca de este "LOOK DEL DÍA".
Por cierto, usé el cuello de tortuga que hice para mi marca, que se vendió bastante rápido http://linamayorga.com/shop/black-tie-dye-print-turtleneck y que todavía estoy obsesionada con como se ve. Esta pieza es especial para mí porque cuando diseño y confecciono ropa, no hago miles de piezas, especialmente cuando encuentro un suministro limitado de una tela en particular. Básicamente, produzco tantas piezas como el patrón del diseño y la cantidad de tela me permiten crear. Por esta razón, aprecio profundamente cada uno de mis diseños.
Pero hablando de mi atuendo, déjame contarte más sobre lo que hice ese día y por qué estoy contenta con este look. Yo olvidé por completo empacar mis botines azules para que combinaran con el azul de mi vestido tipo delantal de jean, pero no estoy enojada por el hecho de que tuve que usar mis botas negras. Creo que se ven bien con todas las otras piezas negras que llevaba ese día. ¡Y estoy seguro de que esto les sucede a todos! Estás listo para viajar y preparaste todos tus looks de antemano, para que sepas exactamente qué ponerte cada día. Aún así, hay tantas cosas que debes controlar para un viaje que lo más probable es que te olvides de una prenda de vestir que en tus ojos, complementaba perfectamente tu look. Esto me pasó a mí, pero la verdad es que está bien, y me lo pasé genial en Berlín (especialmente cuando estaba explorando por mi cuenta). Ese día, exploré los diferentes estantes en NEONYT. Había tantas marcas sostenibles y hermosas que me mi cabeza estaba a punto de explotar. Estaba realmente inspirada por todo lo que vi, y me hizo feliz pensar que si quisiera y trabajara duro, podría mostrar mi ropa sostenible aquí también. Y es que cuando formo parte de eventos como Neonyt, me emociono y me convenzo más de que mi objetivo en la vida es promover la sostenibilidad y el veganismo en la industria de la moda, y solo pensar en esto hace que mis pupilas se dilaten.
En otro tema, como algunos de ustedes saben los estampados de tye-dye son populares ahora, y más diseñadores y marcas están comenzando a ponerse al día con esta tendencia. Tambien como iba a hablar sobre el denim en la industria de la moda durante este viaje a Berlín, quería usar más piezas hechas de este hermoso material. Asi que no es de extrañar por qué llevaba mi cuello de tortuga con estampado tie-dye y mi vestido de mezclilla/jean. Me gusta este look demasiado para ser sincera con ustedes. Creo que es facil de lucir y lindo. Y yo sé que a veces uso atuendos locos, pero creo que este es una representación clara de mi look cotidiano.
